About Brittany Rincon
Brittany is a podcaster with a passion. She is also a powerhouse educator, mother, and host of the Teacher Leader Podcast. She started her podcast to help educators find their voice and make an impact both inside and outside the classroom. She now coaches teachers who want to launch a podcast and grow their side hustle or business.
Making an Impact
Brittany shares that she wanted to help educators create a podcast to step into their leadership role even if they aren’t working their business or side hustle full time. She says that one of her favorite episodes was speaking with a colleague who later became one of her mentees and launched her own podcast. I share also how important it is to have a way to share your knowledge as a coach or consultant in a bite sized way.
Getting Out of Your Own Way
When it comes to starting a podcast, it can be nerve wracking to think of what topics to cover, how your voice will sound, and scary to book your first guest! Brittany shares that it can be easy to feel intimidated by the whole process, but it’s important to remember that you have something important to share. Your first guests can be a colleague or a close friend which can make it sooooo much easier to have engagement and rapport. I use Calendly to book my guests which syncs up directly to my Google Calendar.

Life Before and After the Podcast
Life before and after having a podcast can look differently for each person. For Brittany, she was able to find time after her kids went down to sleep so she could focus on her business growth. She uses her podcast to make connections and promote her services and her course. For me, podcasting has given me the ability to meet new and interesting people! It also gives me authority as I build out more courses, services, and programs. Podcasting has been a huge pillar for me to learn how to grow my audience.
