Welcome to the wonderfully chaotic world of digital entrepreneurship, where every day feels like a juggling act of emails, ads, courses, and the occasional cat video. If you’re an online business owner who’s as comfortable with a spreadsheet as you are with a meme, you’re in the right place. Buckle up and enjoy a humorous romp through the top tools that help me (and many others) grow our businesses with digital products, courses, and group offers!

My Favorite Online Course Platform

When it comes to hosting and selling online courses, Thrivecart is my go-to. Not only does it handle payments like a champ, but it also makes me feel like a mad scientist conjuring up irresistible digital products. If you’re trying to turn your knowledge into cash without losing your mind, Thrivecart is the tool that transforms chaos into conversions.

My Favorite Email Marketing and Newsletter Tech Tools

Emails are the bread and butter of online business, and if you want your newsletters to land in inboxes (and hearts), you need the right tech. Here’s my secret recipe:

☑️ Kit (formerly Convertkit): Because a good email platform is like that reliable friend who never forgets your birthday.

☑️ Substack: Substack is a great platform to build authority, an audience, and get access to building a strong platform for future paid newsletter opportunities. I use Substack to write about creator news and offer paid newsletter options with monthly speaking engagements inside the Monetized Creator Substack.

☑️ Liz Wilcox’ Email Marketing Membership: A goldmine of weekly newsletter templates to help you get step by step help.

☑️ Sam’s Copy on Demand Membership: For when you need copy that converts, even if your brain is running on coffee fumes. This is a great high-touch membership.

☑️ Convertbox: I use this for pop-ups and targeted email opt-ins. It’s my go-to resource for creating interactive segmentation for different launches.

Social Media Marketing Tools

Your social media game can be as polished as a Hollywood blockbuster with the right tools in your kit or at least not make you say hail Mary everytime you publish.

Metricool: I recently started using this social media scheduler this year. I like that for the free account you can do pretty much most of your social media scheduling. It does have some limits to premium features like limiting linkedin posts and isn’t ideal if you want to schedule posts on Facebook groups.

  • SocialBee: I’ve used the paid plan for Socialbee in the past during launches. I like it because it’s suited for posting and scheduling content for multiple platforms such as multiple Facebook groups along with most other social media platforms. I didn’t enjoy using it as much for scheduling short form video content however like Shorts, Reels, or Tik Tok videos.
  • Canva: Canva is what I use for almost everything from carousels, slide decks, Facebook banners, pinterest images, and beyond. This is my “ride or die bestie” tool that is my favorite resource no matter how long you’ve been in the online business world.

Together, these tools ensure your social media channels are buzzing with activity and flair—even if you’re mostly in your pajamas.

Facebook Advertisements

Ah, Facebook ads—the modern equivalent of shouting from the rooftops about your awesome business. For those brave souls ready to invest in social media magic:

  • $7 Ads: Affordable insights and tactics that turn budget-friendly ads into profit machines.

  • Launch with Amber – I’ve used Amber’s help for several launches in the past. And I can attribute a lot of success to following her lead. From copy to conversions and strategy, if you want someone to take the hands off approach for your ads – I really recommend working with Amber.

  •

If you’re ready to step up your Facebook game, these tools might just make your ad budget work overtime.

Podcasting Tools

Podcasting is where your personality can shine and your ideas can truly come to life. Here’s how to ensure your voice is heard:

    • Hiro: The unsung hero for crisp, clear recordings that make you sound like a pro.

    • HelloAudio: For those who want a user-friendly interface with powerful editing features—say hello to professional-grade audio.

    • Podcast Planner Shop: Your roadmap to a well-organized podcast that’s as engaging as your favorite binge-worthy series.

With these tools, your podcast can go from “background noise” to the next big digital hit.

Private Podcast Launch Checklist

Youtube Marketing Tools

Video content is king, and if your YouTube channel is your castle, these tools are your royal advisors:

    • Tubebuddy: Optimize your videos like a boss with insights that make SEO feel less like rocket science.

    • Ecamm: Perfect for live streaming and ensuring your broadcasts look slick and professional.

    • Restream: Go live across multiple platforms at once, because why limit your brilliance to just one audience?

    • Filmora and Camtasia: When it comes to editing your YouTube videos, these two make sure your content is as polished as a blockbuster trailer.

Even if you’re filming your cat’s quirky antics, these tools will help you transform your channel into a well-oiled content machine.

Salespage Resources

Converting visitors into customers is an art form—and with the right resources, it can feel more like a masterpiece in the making. Check out these salespage powerhouses:

☑️ Dama Jue’s Thrivecart Template Shop: Ready-made templates that take the guesswork out of high-converting sales pages. I’ve used several of these templates and it’s saved so much time!

☑️ Bluechic Funnels: Stylish and effective funnels that guide your prospects from curiosity to conversion.

☑️ Elementor: A plugin for designing beautiful landing pages that capture attention and drive results.

  •

These resources make crafting irresistible sales pages as satisfying as a perfectly brewed cup of coffee on a Monday morning.

Website Hosting

Your website is the digital storefront of your empire. For blazing fast speeds and rock-solid reliability, I trust WPX Hosting. It keeps my site running smoother than my morning espresso ritual—no downtime, no drama.

Project Management & Notion

Let’s face it—running an online business can feel like herding cats sometimes. To keep everything in order, I use several tools to keep my head on straight.

☑️ Click-up: Manage tasks, projects, and your sanity all in one place.

☑️ Airtable: Organize your ideas and data with the flexibility of a ninja.

☑️ Notion: The ultimate all-in-one workspace that feels like a digital Swiss Army knife for your brain.

Other Helpful Tools and Honorable Mentions

Every now and then, you need a little extra magic—a one-time software addiction to spice things up:

☑️ AppSumo: A treasure trove of cool one-time software deals.

☑️ Tidycal: For easy bookings and scheduling with clients.

☑️ Gobrunch: For simple and effective coworking sessions that keep you connected.

☑️ Voxer: My favorite for on-the-go live office hours, perfect for running courses and supporting 1:1 coaching clients.

These honorable mentions are the cherry on top of your digital marketing sundae, proving that sometimes, the best tools are the ones you stumble upon when you least expect it.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the digital marketing world is a wild, exhilarating ride, but with the right tools in your arsenal, you’ll navigate it like a pro. From designing killer sales pages to creating engaging podcasts and running eye-catching ads, these resources are your secret weapons in growing your online empire. So, close the laptop, grab a coffee (or wine, no judgment here), and start putting these tools to work. Success doesn’t just happen by accident—it comes with strategy, creativity, and a bit of humor along the way. Happy marketing and may your business flourish in ways that surprise and delight you!
