As a course creator, you’re not just limited to one stream of income. Instead, you can make your course work for you double- and triple-fold! Digital printables are another easy way to make money off of the expertise you already have. Here’s how to make and sell digital printables to make even more profits!

Start With a Large Digital Product

It may be tempting to get started with a smaller digital product that you can offer as a freebie, but many course creators have found that creating one of their “big” digital printables right off the bat is the best way to go. Chelsea Brennan from the Smart Money Mamas Podcast had a fantastic first launch and has made over $90k from a small priced product. This way, you’ll already have your end game that your consumers will go up the funnel for. From there, you can build out freebies and smaller (less expensive) digital printables for your clients to purchase.  Make sure that your big printable is something that is not only relevant to your course but also that’s relevant to trends in your industry.

Plan a Launch

Go big or go home with your launches. Whether you’re offering a six-figure style product or one of your smaller printables, it’s important to plan your launch the right way. Get ready to blast the printables, reach every person in your audience that you can, and use all the marketing tactics so that your digital printable gets in front of more people. The launch is one of the most important things that you can do. A launch that goes off without a hitch can turn your printables into instant success. One that is poorly planned can set the stage for failure.

Create a Value Ladder

While $39 is a popular price point for digital printables, it’s not a hard and fast rule. Set your price shelf for what works in your industry. This means making sure you know your audience and know what they’re willing to spend. It’s also important to make sure that you know the value of your products. You’re not going to price a 63-page comprehensive binder PDF in the same range that you’d price a 2-page checklist for your audience to print off.  Knowing your audience’s ability to spend can make all the difference in finding the right price point. If you’re struggling to come up with a good price for your products, start on the safe side. Lower the price slightly lower than what you think the value is. You may end up selling more than you would at a higher price which will make more money overall. Another option is to A/B test different price points. Put very similar digital printables out at different price points and learn which ones perform best!

Consider Affiliates

Affiliates are one of the easiest ways that you can get products in front of more people. Broadening your audience is crucial when learning how to make and sell digital printables. Create small rewards for affiliates and offer bonuses for people they bring in to your digital products. Consider other content creators, bloggers, social media influencers, and anyone else who has access to a lot of people within your space!  Remember that this is a huge part of your business and a big part of digital printables. Keep up what you’re doing and try to continue reaching out to as many people as possible while selling your digital printables. Don’t stop with just a few affiliates or other creators in your industry. Also, use your audience and the people you’ve built relationships with to get answers to what they want. Don’t be afraid to ask what people want in digital printables!

Plan, But Also Take Action

You must make sure that your digital printables are high-quality and provide information that your audience will find valuable. If you want to outperform other course creators in your space (and in others), you need to make sure that your products are better than theirs. It can sometimes take weeks or months to create and perfect your digital printables which is absolutely fine, but don’t let that stop you. One of the best ways to take action is to join The Inspired Courses Group. You can get in touch with other course creators, ask questions, and get access to free trainings.  Once you start creating and perfecting, you can get into a loop. One of the popular themes on The Course Consultant is that you must take action. Once your project gets to a certain point, it’s time to take action and release those digital printables!

Use Free Software

When you’re getting started with your digital printables, you might be wondering about the software and other specifics about how to make and sell digital printables.  It’s really quite easy. Printables can be made using free software. In fact, some of the biggest names in the industry still use things like PowerPoint and simple PDF creators to make their printables. These course creation or digital printable software tools are likely things that you already have available to you. It’s a matter of creating the content for the printable, making sure it’s high-quality, and designing your printables in a way that reflects that same quality.  Get out there, create those printables, and start driving more income streams right to your pocket!
